Steve, they cherry pick facts that support their argument while having tremendous omissions that prove otherwise.

JW Lawyers and Heavyweights lying in court.
by freddo inin a recent canadian case i've seen (on line video in threads on here) the wt lawyer says that disfellowshipping isn't actual shunning but only a cutting off of spiritual association.
but what case is it and is there a transcript available on line?.
any other "good" examples from the point of view that it proves wt speak out of both sides of their mouths?.

284000 baptized in 2017
by jw-verite inseen in the 03/2018 watchtower study :.
"during the 2017 service year, more than 284,000 “rightly disposed” individuals symbolized their dedication to jehovah by water baptism.".

If the 284,000 is correct and if on average 10 people got dunked every assembly district or circuit you would have to have 28,400 such events in the year 2017 or 284,000/10 = 28,400.
Now if the average is 1.5 per circuit and district event then the amount of events would have to be: 284,000/1.5 = 189,333 . Since we hear of many assemblies where nobody gets baptized or only 1, 2, or 3 so if we add this up 6 and divide by 4 we get and 1.5 for an average.
Say USA has 52,000 congregation divide 26 into 52,000 = 2,000 circuits which would have 4,000 circuit events and add another 2000(district events) = 6,000 x 1.5 = 9000 baptized for the US. This might be away to put figures into some kind of perspective. Then divide 9000 by 284,000 and you get 3% of the total growth worldwide, with say 97% coming from the rest of the world.
This seems to indicate a serious fudging of figure designed to keep R&F members from the magnitude of those leaving the Organization which would lead to an even greater decline.
Massive sell off of KHs and decline in growth into negative figures can have a very alarming effect on the rest of the organizational captives and for this reason as well as their lack of transparency I would never trust the WT corporations printed figures.

Stop harassing jws
by pomo6780 inwe want people to learn ttatt.
we have numerous resources online to draw jws in so that they will wake up.
however, i've noted some radical methods that have been used by fellow exjws, and quite frankly, this must stop.

I find it hard to believe the numbers are as high as the WT corporation suggest. They are a lying bunch of ass holes under cult delusions which is the primary reason for their bad state of affairs and stupid business decisions, they cherry pick facts and fudge figures all the time to support their agenda. So I'm in convinced that they are not being factual in reporting the figures, they must be first processed through WT corporation's agendas before being put in print. I'm sure the brother that collects this data has to go to the GB in a private session to give them the real figure and then the GB make up the number and give it to this brother for printing.
With all the reports of assemblies with nobody getting baptized or perhaps 1 nine year old I find this figure bogus.

I don't agree with the barging in of a KH or shouting at cart drones.
I do think however that a respectful discussion with cart people can do a lot of good and so would never discourage it.
Even those that may shout at them I'm not that concerned enough to tell them to stop and it is true they may accomplish very little and in fact have a very reverse effect than intended. The religious fanatics they want to preach some religious dogma they espouse while the jubs are at their meetings or conventions also has no effect whatsoever. I just look at it as coming with the territory of their door to door activity and have a very so what attitude.

I think this is a sad and sorry attempt by Jehovah's earthly organization to be entertaining and draw in disciples using a beat in their music to make it more fun to sing. Next thing you know they might make every song a toe taper.

It's like beating a dead horse, what good would it do to just keep beating it when nobody has nothing to say today about it. We don't want it to become an unhealthy obsession so balance and the abilility change is a good sign one is not obsessed.

Why the move to Warwick?
by optimisticskeptic ini've seen a lot of posts around and about warwick and the goings on there but was curious as to people's theories on why the move to warwick?
granted there's the obvious point about all of the money from the sale of properties in brooklyn but for as massive as warwick is, the purchase of an apartment complex there, multiple sites and buildings i would be surprised if they had much left from all of the profits.
so beyond a financial incentive why move?
-
Brokeback Watchtower
I think the move to Warwick was motivated by the fact that unconsciously at least the prime decision makers know they are in a downward spiral and armegeddon isn't gonna save them so they moved to a less conspicuous place to avoid as much embarrassment as possible. The great disappointment gotta come any day now because you can't keep say any day now for a thousand years into the future,, eventually your subscribing members will dwindle down to zero.

I does seem that the WT corporation is pretty desperate and trying hard not to hand over those files. Coming up with the same arguments and failing to comply with court orders. This makes me very curious as to what they are trying to hide.
